Visiting Porto's Aquarium
(5,50 € admission fee and with one more euro you can visit the Genoese tower (la tour génoise) nearby)
The aquarium was relatively small. You would be able to see the local Corsican marine life. There were about ten aquariums and few of them contained too many fishes. Some of the description labels were old and therefore illegible... Pity!
The Genoese Tower was more interesting. There was a historical exhibition about Corsica and the tower. At the top of the tower you had an extraordinary 360° view of the surroundings.
If you take a hike in the Calanques de Piana, it could start from a big parking lot; 700m before the chalet when you come from Porto. We took the Castle Promenade. It lasted one hour, back and forth. Your feet must be well shod when you walk because there were many pebbles.
At the edge of the cliff you can admire a wonderful view of Porto Bay, from Capo Rosso Tower to Girolata Bay.
