A tour accross l'Alta Rocca, micro region of Corsica that streches over 415 km². It's one of the place that was formerly populated.
First stage : Spin'a cavallu
It's a pisan bridge of 64 meters long dated from 13th century, that overhang the Rizzaneese. You can have a swim in the river.
Second Stage : Sainte Lucie de Tallano
We were disappointed by this village, yet it's indicated in many touristic guides.
Third Stage : Castellu de Cucuruzzu et Capula
(certainly the most interesting of the tour) It's a prehistoric site at the heart of a forest. The woody and rocky track take you to the discovery of two castles, occupied from the Bronze Age to The Middle Ages.
The admission fee is 5,50€ with headset and an itinerary that they lend during the tour.
The stroll lasted 2 hours.
Fourth stage : Levie and Museum of Alta Rocca
There's an admission fee, reduced if you have visited Castellu and Cucuruzzu site. The museum lists objects and skeletons find on these site. The visit is short (there's only one big room) and complementary.
Fifth Stage : Zoza
The touristic guide indicated a natural swiming pool in Zoza. The Rizzanese flow among rocks ; There are impoundments that form a swiming pool with a waterfall and a high vertical wall. The water isn't very warm (although very refreshing in case of strong heats)
Sixth stage : Bath of Caldane
Sulphurous water at 37° gush out in a pool of 8 by 3m, where people crowded. This water is recognize since Antiquity for its beneficial properties concerning rheumatism and dermatologycal problems.
The rate is 4€ for 20 minutes, a clock overhangs the pool for each people watching their swiming time. It's really worth it in spite of the people and the waiting time for be allowed to enter in the pool.
You can eat and drink there.
